Focused on developing a strong narrative voice and a subtle touch, Matthew revels in telling untold stories that are almost uncomfortably close to home, while exploring themes of community, identity and human nature. He is quite keen on digital content. He produced a 5 minute short “What is Inclusion” that has garnered 300,000 views on YouTube and was screened and a finalist for the 2020 Focus on Ability Short Film Festival.

Matthew has produced and edit several other short films that have been screened internationally at the Singapore Short Cuts 2016 and Singapore Film Festival 2017.

Matthew has worked with New Line Cinema, Warner Brothers Pictures and Chop Shop Post on their feature films Mortal Kombat 2 (2025) and Zombie Plane (2024).

He has production managed a feature film and edited a number of short films and Music Videos, most recently Carnal Vessels (Angus Kirby, 2023), and Georgia Horeau “Oh well” Music Video (Luis Bran, 2022).

In 2017, he was honoured to received the Griffith Remarkable Scholarship for his undergraduate in film at Griffith Film School. In 2020, he was awarded the Lord David Puttnam Scholarship for Producers for his postgraduate in film at Griffith Film School. The Lord David Puttnam Scholarship has allowed Matthew to travel to the Festival International du Film Documentaire Océanien (FIFO), Melbourne international Film Festival, 37ºSouth Market and Screen Forever fully sponsored. .

In 2019 and 2021, he was honoured to receive the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence from the Golden Key International Honour Society.

Matthew loves eating popcorn, cooking and inclusive representation on-screen that feels like a celebration. He is driven to create content that he waited to see when he was younger.
